Microbiome and Gut Health

Posted on June 14, 2015 by Bio Man in Body Health, Mental Health No Comments

What makes a human healthy?  For as long as history has recorded illness, people have tried to figure out the underlying principle of disease.  It is more than just an academic thought, modern society is so obsessed with classifying diseases and sickness that they have forgotten the other side to life; healthiness.  The secret to robustness and vitality may quite literally lie deep inside our bowels; deep inside our microbiome and gut health.

Thank Gut Bacteria for Keeping You Alive and Healthy

Scientists now know that humans are made up of about 90% bacteria and 10% DNA material.  You have over a 100 trillion microbes inside you and outside of your body.  The previous paradigm of anti-bacterial everything has proven to be extremely detrimental  to our body’s delicate bio-ecology. The microbiota that resides in our guts and even on our skin helps provide robust health to humans.  This is done by providing immune homeostasis.

Homeostasis refers to keeping our bodies systems in balance. Examples of this are body temperature, Glucose levels for energy, calcium for PH balance and fluid volume.  If your homeostasis is out of balance then you will become susceptible to disease, infections, illnesses and even death.

The role that our microbiome plays in keeping us healthy is in its ability to be the workhorse of our body’s bio-ecology.  Microbiota has evolved over millions of years to provide digestion, production of nutrients, protection against foreign micro-organisms, parasites and detoxification.

Vaccine Deaths, Autism and the Gut Health Connection

Something strange is happening in the world of vaccines today.  More and more people are questioning the effectiveness and safety of vaccines after the predicted global “Bird Flu” outbreak fizzled.  Billions of tax dollars were spent anticipating a major global epidemic and yet the number of casualties numbered in the few hundreds at most (since 1996).

Add to the fact that a court in Italy did a partial ban of a batch of vaccines in Italy after 13 children died. But was let off the hook shortly after selling out to GlaxoKlineSmith.  In addition a CDC whistleblower testified that there was hard data linking Thimerosal (mercury) in vaccines to autism, non-organic sleep disorders, and speech disorders.  And yet no main stream media network covered this explosive revelation.  For an overview of this controversy I recommend viewing this youtube clip by clicking here.

In the 21’st century it is only now that independent discoveries into the significance of microbiota has revealed just how damaging vaccines, antibiotics and artificial sugars can inflict on our neurology and immunity. Though of course you will not hear about this from the mainstream media or the extremely powerful pharmaceuticals.

British Neurologist Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride believes the increasing rates of autism afflicting children today is due to overwhelming toxicity in our diet, medicines and environment.  This results in a wholesale genocide of the beneficial gut flora in our bodies which can then lead to electrical and chemical imbalances in our physiology (homeostasis).  As Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride describes succinctly:

“What happens in these children [is that] they do not develop normal gut flora from birth…” she says. “Gut flora is a hugely important part of our human physiology. Recently research in Scandinavia has demonstrated that 90 percent of all cells and all genetic material in a human body is our own gut flora. We are just a shell… a habitat for this mass of microbes inside us. We ignore them at our own peril.

…As a result, their digestive system — instead of being a source of nourishment for these children — becomes a major source of toxicity. These pathogenic microbes inside their digestive tract damage the integrity of the gut wall. So all sort of toxins and microbes flood into the bloodstream of the child, and get into the brain of the child. That usually happens in the second year of life in children who were breast-fed because breastfeeding provides a protection against this abnormal gut flora. In children who were not breastfed, I see the symptoms of autism developing in the first year of life.

So breastfeeding is crucial to protect these children.”

Gut Health is literally the Core of Our Health and Being

Far from something that should be completely sterilized, bacteria in its many forms is something which plays a critical part of our make up (up to 90%).  To foolishly categorize all bacteria as something to be eliminated or taken for granted is something which will put all of humanity in perpetual illness, disease and misery.
